Lost & Found on Grounds

submitted 2 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

We really need a lost and found in every academic building! Even if it’s just a cardboard box or something; a clearly labelled, designated lost and found in each building is a must. Things that are left in classrooms disappear after one day, and you have to chase down Facilities Management personnel in the building […]

Dog Do-Doo

submitted 3 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

It has come to my attention, at the dismay of my feet, that there is a large amount of unpicked up dog poop around grounds. Particularly around the lawn or other public grass areas. It may be helpful if we had a friendly reminder sign to clean up after your pets or to have a […]

Drones on the Lawn

submitted 3 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

A lot of people fly drones over the Lawn, which is incredibly loud and disturbing to many people who want to enjoy time outdoors. There should be restrictions on who can fly drones over the Lawn and when they can.

Dorm Drinking Fountain

submitted 7 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

The First Year dorms only have drinking fountains on the first floor of each dorm. A lot of times I want to fill up a water bottle or britta and I don’t want to use the sink water or make the trek to the bathroom in general. Anyways, I propose that each floor of the […]

Trash Cans around grounds

submitted 9 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

Can we get more trashcans around grounds? The amphitheater and lawn area needs more trashcans. There is a reason why Disney World has trash cans that aren’t more than 30 feet apart.

Gibbons Needs Feminine Trash Cans

submitted 10 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

Gibbons needs feminine trash cans! Gibbons Dorm bathrooms lack trash cans in stalls. In stead, female residents must carry their used feminine hygiene products to one communal trash can per bathroom. Trash cans for feminine products are more than a luxury, they are a staple of a clean, efficient bathroom space.

Trash Cans

submitted 10 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

Please increase the trashcans around central grounds. I have seen people just drop their trash because they can’t find trashcans around the lawn and amphitheater, etc.

Outlets on 1st floor Clemons

submitted 1 year ago by in Buildings & Grounds

There aren’t enough outlets per number of tables on the first floor. Even just having more power strips available would be a quick fix, especially during finals.

Buses to financial services

The buses don’t go out to Caruthers Hall for students who need to go to financial services but don’t have a way of getting there

Chairs in quiet study areas

submitted 3 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

They recently made a new section of Brown in Clark a quiet area, yet the chairs are the most obnoxious squeaking pieces of furniture ever manufactured. It didn’t matter as much before when there was noise to cover it up, but now it is more distracting than if people were holding conversations. Can we get […]

Wifi at Football and Basketball Games

submitted 8 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

Is it possible to get Wahoo/Cavalier Wi-Fi (or better/stronger Wi-Fi) set up around the student sections of the Football Stadium and JPJ. The more students that are able to use social media during the game, the more the games are going to be promoted. 3g/4g is very poor because so many people are in attendance […]

Allow us to Hammock and Slackline

submitted 9 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

More details at this CavDaily article: http://www.cavalierdaily.com/article/2016/10/berman-mr-groves-dont-tear-down-slackline#disqus_thread The logic behind the rule does not make sense, especially at a school that brags about its freedom as a public institution. Slacklining and Hammocking are actual positive traditions that should be preserved at the university.

Tables in Thornton Stacks Broken

submitted 9 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

A lot of the tables in Thornton Stacks (such as table O) have broken plugs so the charging ports on the table do not work. It would be great if these charging ports could be fixed or the tables could be fixed so all the CS students who essentially live here could charge their laptops. […]

Benches at Brown College

submitted 9 months ago by in Buildings & Grounds

Can we put in some benches in front of Brown’s Holmes and Rogers? While I personally am usually waiting outside for friends who live in Brown College, it is also a nice, quiet place to relax. I think it would be beneficial to install some benches there.
