As an avid fan of Chickfila nuggets, I was devastated to learn that our Meal Exchanges can only be used for the sandwiches. Through my research, I have found that the Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich Combo costs $5.95 and the Chick-fil-A Nuggets Combo is also, (surprise, surprise) $5.95! I cannot see any financial implications that would […]4 comments.
There are many classes in my Collab sections where I have access to everything, including grades, forum posts, emails to the class, etc. But I noticed there is one specific section missing from each past class – the Resources tab. Why is this? I have enjoyed many if not all of my past classes and […]2 comments.
I think there really needs to be a sidewalk made on both sides of the road underneath Ruffner Hall. It is unreasonable to expect students to climb up to McCormick and back down just to get to Stadium Avenue and JPA and it isn’t safe for students to just walk in the bike lanes, which […]no comments.
It is very difficult to reserve rooms at buildings on Grounds. The Source seems outdated and confusing. Is there any way to ameliorate these issues and provide easier access to meeting spaces on grounds for students?one comment.
I think it would be really beneficial if the towel service at the AFC was free for undergraduate students or at least students who use the pool so it is easier for students to swim and then go straight from the AFC to class. It gets pricey to have to pay 75cents a towel each […]no comments.
I think StudCo should work more to incentivize professors and students to print on recycled paper (paper that already has something else printed on the other side). I had a professor this semester who took off points for printing my final report on recycled paper, even though she didn’t mention it had to be on […]one comment.
Why is it that on Collab, we have access to everything from our previously taken classes, except for the resources supplied in the course? By that, I mean lecture notes and slides, pdfs of articles and other various resources. It makes no sense that having successfully taken a class, if I wish to revisit some […]no comments.
fellow students, please respect vegetarians. sometimes there’s a spatula thing specifically set on the cheese pizza board, SO DON’T USE IT TO CUT YOUR MEAT PIZZA. that’s rude. Also, when the nachos are set up beside the veggie burgers, serve your dang nachos over the meat. Don’t scoop the meat over the veggie burgers, because […]no comments.
As I’m sure you all have noticed, we have a new printing system in the libraries. Unfortunately, some of the options that we once had are no longer available with this new system. For example, you can no longer set more than one page to print on one sheet of paper (4 per sheet, 2 […]no comments.
More details at this CavDaily article: http://www.cavalierdaily.com/article/2016/10/berman-mr-groves-dont-tear-down-slackline#disqus_thread The logic behind the rule does not make sense, especially at a school that brags about its freedom as a public institution. Slacklining and Hammocking are actual positive traditions that should be preserved at the university.one comment.
This year there is a $1000 fee for all CIO’s wishing to host events where individuals under the age of 18 will be present. This is especially detrimental for cultural CIO’s who host admissions outreach events in hopes of increasing diversity at UVA. Is there anything that can be done about this?2 comments.
I am concerned that the student-led tour groups are getting unattractively large. I see groups of 20-30 prospective students and parents walking through Clark every day and guides shouting to be heard on the lawn by huge clumps of tour groups. I think that if I were a prospective student, I would find such a […]one comment.
Does UVA provide free STI and HIV/AIDS testing on grounds or near grounds or do any groups host testing events? Is there any information on this anywhere? I feel like this information isn’t as readily available as it should be.one comment.
A lot of the tables in Thornton Stacks (such as table O) have broken plugs so the charging ports on the table do not work. It would be great if these charging ports could be fixed or the tables could be fixed so all the CS students who essentially live here could charge their laptops. […]one comment.
Can we put in some benches in front of Brown’s Holmes and Rogers? While I personally am usually waiting outside for friends who live in Brown College, it is also a nice, quiet place to relax. I think it would be beneficial to install some benches there.one comment.
