I have been a peer advisor with ULink peer advising since my second year. I noticed that unpaid peer advising doesn’t count as service hours towards service scholar, and I thought it would be a good idea to give peer advisors hours for the service they do.2 comments.
As we come together on campus in classes, hallways, buses, and eateries it would serve our community well if we show each other respect. A smile or a simple ‘Hello’ can go a long way to make a fellow students day that much better. Or at the very least, we should refrain from judging, criticizing […]no comments.
Gibbons needs feminine trash cans! Gibbons Dorm bathrooms lack trash cans in stalls. In stead, female residents must carry their used feminine hygiene products to one communal trash can per bathroom. Trash cans for feminine products are more than a luxury, they are a staple of a clean, efficient bathroom space.4 comments.
As an avid fan of Chickfila nuggets, I was devastated to learn that our Meal Exchanges can only be used for the sandwiches. Through my research, I have found that the Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich Combo costs $5.95 and the Chick-fil-A Nuggets Combo is also, (surprise, surprise) $5.95! I cannot see any financial implications that would […]4 comments.
There are many classes in my Collab sections where I have access to everything, including grades, forum posts, emails to the class, etc. But I noticed there is one specific section missing from each past class – the Resources tab. Why is this? I have enjoyed many if not all of my past classes and […]2 comments.
I think there really needs to be a sidewalk made on both sides of the road underneath Ruffner Hall. It is unreasonable to expect students to climb up to McCormick and back down just to get to Stadium Avenue and JPA and it isn’t safe for students to just walk in the bike lanes, which […]no comments.
The dinning halls at Runk and O’Hill at the Omelets and sub-sandwich stations do not utilize the spoons or other utensils to handle meat, while using their hands to put in toppings and such. This brings the meat and vegetables in contact and creates a concern for those who wish to separate the meat from […]2 comments.
Is it possible to get Wahoo/Cavalier Wi-Fi (or better/stronger Wi-Fi) set up around the student sections of the Football Stadium and JPJ. The more students that are able to use social media during the game, the more the games are going to be promoted. 3g/4g is very poor because so many people are in attendance […]no comments.
Reserving a study room in Claude Moore Library is a huge hassle. I have to call the library and someone has to search for the study rooms available and then put in a ridiculous amount of information about me to just reserve one room. I reserve a study room for my group a few times […]3 comments.
I printed an 85 page document at Clemons library that I needed for a class. I’ve done this before. Unfortunately, the document formatting was completely off and only printed the bottom half of each page. There goes my money. I checked the PDF formatting, which was 8.5 x 11 inches like normal paper. So I […]2 comments.
The Rotunda is only open for student study hours Sun-Tue. This is crazy considering UVa spent so much money actually trying to make the Rotunda more accessible (you can finally walk through the front doors!) and restore it to its original function as a library and as the heart and soul of the University. At […]no comments.
fellow students, please respect vegetarians. sometimes there’s a spatula thing specifically set on the cheese pizza board, SO DON’T USE IT TO CUT YOUR MEAT PIZZA. that’s rude. Also, when the nachos are set up beside the veggie burgers, serve your dang nachos over the meat. Don’t scoop the meat over the veggie burgers, because […]no comments.
As I’m sure you all have noticed, we have a new printing system in the libraries. Unfortunately, some of the options that we once had are no longer available with this new system. For example, you can no longer set more than one page to print on one sheet of paper (4 per sheet, 2 […]no comments.
